To install the OUELLET OHV-CC Commercial Portable Unit Heater, please follow these steps:
1. Read the installation instructions carefully before starting the installation process.
2. Ensure that the heater is fixed to its support before operating it.
3. Keep in mind that the heater gets hot when in use, so avoid touching the hot surfaces with bare skin. Always use the handle when moving the heater. Keep combustible materials at least 5 ft. (153 cm) away from the front, sides, and rear of the heater.
4. Respect the minimum clearances mentioned in the user guide. Make sure the heater is placed in a secure location where it will not fall.
5. Exercise extreme caution when using the heater around children or individuals with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities. Hyperthermia can occur if the room temperature becomes excessively high. If you experience symptoms related to hyperthermia, turn off the heater and seek medical attention.
6. This heater should not be used as a permanent unit and should not be left unattended. It is designed to provide temporary heat.
7. Always unplug and store the heater in a dry place when not in use.
8. Do not operate the heater if the cord or plug is damaged, or if the heater malfunctions. Immediately stop using the device and have it examined or repaired by an authorized service facility.
9. The heater should not be used in abnormally humid areas, wet or dusty environments, or locations containing flammable liquids or combustible materials. It should not be used in bathrooms, laundry areas, or corrosive atmospheres.
10. The heater should not be used for drying clothes, outdoor use, ceiling mounting, or permanent heating. If you need to heat a location with these characteristics, purchase a heater specifically designed for those applications.
11. Always place the heater in an adequate location and ensure it will not fall.
12. Do not run the cord under carpeting, cover it with throw rugs or similar coverings, or route it under furniture or appliances. Keep the cord away from traffic areas to prevent damage.
13. To disconnect the heater, turn off the thermostat and remove the plug from the wall electrical outlet.
14. Connect the heater to a properly grounded wall electrical outlet only.
15. Do not insert foreign objects into any ventilation or exhaust openings, and do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner.
16. Use the heater only as described in the manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
17. Always plug the heater directly into a wall electrical outlet. Using an extension cord is prohibited by law in the United States.
18. Respect all clearances mentioned in the user guide.
19. Protect the heater with the appropriate circuit breaker or fuse, in accordance with the nameplate.
20. Make sure the supply voltage (Volts) corresponds to the one indicated on the nameplate.
21. Do not modify the product in any way, as it may result in damage and void the CSA certification.
22. The thermostat should not be considered infallible in critical temperature maintenance situations. In such cases, it is recommended to add a monitoring system to avoid the consequences of a thermostat failure.
23. The heater is equipped with a factory-installed manual reset limit. If an overheat condition exists, the limit will automatically turn the heater off. To reset, allow the heater to cool and then push in the button until it snaps.
