To set up the THERMCO ACCSL2021 Wireless VFC Temperature Data Logger, follow these steps:
1. Install batteries in the wireless temperature sensor(s): Open the sensor by turning the clip cap counterclockwise, insert 2 AAA batteries (negative end first), and close the sensor by aligning the printed arrows on the clip cap and sensor and twisting it clockwise.
2. Power on the wireless sensor(s): Press the power button on the sensor until the blue LED flashes 5 times. The LED should then flash once every 10 seconds. To power off the sensor, press the power button until the LED flashes two times.
3. Install batteries in the SmartLOG Digital Data Logger (DDL): Slide down the cover of the DDL and insert 3 AA batteries in the compartment. Note that the batteries are for backup only, and the primary source of power should be the 5V 1A power adapter.
4. Connect the DDL to power: Attach the 5V 1A power adapter to the DDL using the USB cable and plug it into a wall outlet.
5. Power on the DDL: Push and hold the ON button on the back of the DDL until you hear a beep, then release the button. The DDL will start scanning for networks.
6. Connect the DDL to your Wi-Fi network: On the DDL screen, select your network from the drop-down list of SSIDs (Wi-Fi network names). Enter the network password using the keyboard that appears, and tap the return key to enter the values. The DDL will connect to the network if successful.
7. Access the SmartLOG Dashboard: Open a web browser on a PC or smartphone and enter "SmartLOG/" or the IP address displayed on the DDL in the address bar. The SmartLOG Dashboard page will open.
8. Customize the settings: On the SmartLOG Dashboard page, click on the "Settings" (cog icon) and a pop-up will appear. Leave the PIN field empty and click "Open" to access the Settings Page. Customize the logger configuration, sensor settings, Wi-Fi settings, email/SMS contacts, and other options as desired. Click "Save" to apply the settings.
9. Start logging: After saving the settings, the SmartLOG DDL will automatically start booting. Once the booting process is complete, the DDL will start scanning for temperatures from the wireless sensors. The main screen of the DDL and the SmartLOG Dashboard will display the logged data.
