To install the Chacon 34237 Optical Smoke Detector With Lithium Battery, follow these steps:
1. Remove the mounting plate from the smoke detector.
2. Place the mounting plate in the desired location and use a pencil to mark the position of the holes.
3. Remove the mounting plate and make two holes with a diameter of 5 millimeters.
4. Push the plastic wall plugs into the holes.
5. Insert the screws into the mounting plate and tighten them securely into the wall plugs.
6. Place the smoke plate on the mounting bracket and fix it in place by turning it clockwise.
7. Check that your detector is working properly by pressing the test button. If there is no sound, the smoke detector is not working correctly and must not be used!
It is important to note that the smoke detector should be installed in places where it can detect smoke, such as near bedrooms and exits. It should be installed on the ceiling, in the middle of the room, at least 50 cm from walls and other objects. The maximum installation height is 6 meters.
