To start charging a battery using the EnerSys NexSys-iON Battery Charger, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the charger connector(s) match the battery connector(s).
2. Plug the charger connector(s) into the battery connector(s). For chargers with dual connectors, both connectors must be connected.
3. If the charger is equipped with two connectors, always connect connector 1 first.
4. Once the battery is connected, the charger will automatically start charging if the auto start feature is enabled. If not, press the Stop/Start button to begin charging.
5. The charger will display the charge parameters, such as voltage, current, battery temperature, and charging time.
6. Monitor the charging process on the charger's graphical display.
7. When the charging is complete, the green charge complete LED will turn on, and the display will show "CHARGE COMPLETE."
8. If equalization charging is required, you can manually start it by pressing the EQUALIZE button at the end of the charge cycle.
9. After charging is complete, push the ON/OFF button before unplugging the battery.
