To use the Laserliner 083 013 Voltage Tester ActiveFinder XP, follow these steps:
1. Before using the device, make sure it is clean and dry.
2. Open the battery compartment and insert two 1.5 AAA batteries, paying attention to the polarity.
3. Test the device on a known operational main circuit within the specified voltage range to ensure it is working properly.
4. To turn on the device, press the ON/OFF button (2) until the detector tip lights up.
5. Position the detector tip in the area to be tested, such as a cable or socket.
6. If voltage is present, the detector tip will light up red and a rapid signal will sound. Make sure to check all three phase conductors (L1, L2, L3) for the presence of voltage.
7. If the acoustic signal is weak or the battery lamp is dim, replace the batteries.
8. The device also has a ZOOM function that increases sensitivity. Press the ZOOM button to activate it. The detector tip will light up orange when the ZOOM function is enabled. When voltage is present, the detector tip will light up red and a signal will sound at 1-second intervals.
9. Please note that even if a visual signal is not displayed, voltage may still be present. The functionality of the device can be affected by differences in the design of the connection socket or the insulation thickness and type. Voltage cannot be detected behind panels and metal covers.
10. To switch on/off the flashlight, press button 5.
11. To switch off the acoustic signal, either press and hold the ON/OFF button until the detector tip lights green (if the device is off) or flashes green (if the device is on). To switch on the acoustic signal, press and hold the ON/OFF button until the detector tip flashes green and a signal sounds.
12. After use, clean all components with a damp cloth and store the device in a clean and dry place.
