To update the firmware of the Pioneer VSX-LX105 ELITE 7.2-Channel Network AV Receiver, you have two options: updating via network or updating via USB connection. Here are the instructions for both methods:
Updating the firmware via network:
1. Connect the AV receiver to your home network using an Ethernet cable.
2. Press the HOME MENU button on the remote control to display the home menu on the TV screen.
3. Select "System Setup" from the home menu using the arrow keys on the remote control and press ENTER.
4. Select "Network Update" and press ENTER.
5. Select "Start" and press ENTER to start searching for the latest firmware version.
6. If a new firmware version is found, follow the on-screen instructions to download and install it.
7. Once the update is complete, the AV receiver will automatically restart.
Updating the firmware via USB connection:
1. Download the latest firmware file from the Pioneer website and save it to a USB storage device with a capacity of 128 MB or larger.
2. Connect the USB storage device to the USB port on the front panel of the AV receiver.
3. Press the HOME MENU button on the remote control to display the home menu on the TV screen.
4. Select "System Setup" from the home menu using the arrow keys on the remote control and press ENTER.
5. Select "Firmware Update" and press ENTER.
6. Select "USB" and press ENTER to start the firmware update from the USB storage device.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the firmware update.
8. Once the update is complete, the AV receiver will automatically restart.
