The motion sensor on the HANDY LUX Top Bright LED Lights Set is activated as soon as the batteries are inserted. There is no button to manually activate the motion sensor. Once the batteries are inserted, the motion sensor will start detecting motion within a range of 3-5 meters. It is important to ensure that there are no obstacles in front of the motion sensor for optimal signal transmission.
