To replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) in your Pentair 476224 Ignition Control Module (ICM) Replacement Kit, please follow the instructions provided in the installation manual.
1. Before starting, make sure to read and follow all safety instructions and precautions mentioned in the manual.
2. Gather the required installation tools, including a powered socket/nut driver, 1/4" nut driver bit, 5/16" socket and nut driver, and 3/8" nut driver.
3. For USA models:
- Remove the left side panel from the heater for Master Temp Heater (Fig. 1 and Fig. 2) or remove the four bolts from the heater jackets for Max-E-Therm Heater (Fig. 3).
- Disconnect all connector plugs and wires from the legacy ICM (P/N 42001-0100) and remove the two mounting screws.
- Install the new ICM (P/N 476221) into the heater Junction Box compartment and secure it with the provided screws.
- Connect the wire adapters (P/N 476208, 476202, 476206) to the corresponding terminals on the new ICM and then connect the other ends of the wire adapters to the existing wire harness as instructed in the manual.
- Reassemble the heater control panel assembly.
4. For Australia models:
- Follow the same steps as mentioned in the USA model instructions, but use the appropriate parts and wire adapters (P/N 476207, 476213) for the Australian ICM (P/N 476222).
