To clean the filters on the Shark IZ500 Series Cordless Pro Vacuum, follow these steps:
1. Remove the dust cup from the vacuum by pressing the dust cup release button.
2. Open the dust cup lid and remove the pre-motor filter and post-motor filter.
3. Rinse both filters with water only. Do not use soap.
4. Allow the filters to air-dry completely for up to 48 hours before reinstalling.
5. Tap off any loose dirt between washes when needed.
6. Clean the pre-motor filters at least once a month and the post-motor filter at least once a year.
7. Ensure that all filters are installed before using the vacuum again.
Note: It is important to clean the filters regularly to maintain the vacuum's suction power and maximize the effectiveness of odor neutralization. Using soap or not properly drying the filters may result in reduced suction power.
