To program the RF remote control for the DRAPER LVC-IV Low-Voltage Control Module, follow these steps:
1. Press the receiver button on the LVC-IV module (refer to Fig. 2A in the manual).
2. The signal light on the module will flash slowly.
3. Within 10 seconds, press the "UP" button on the RF transmitter (refer to Fig. 2B in the manual).
4. The signal light on the module will flash three times quickly, indicating that the remote control has been successfully learned.
To unlearn a remote control, follow these steps:
1. Press the receiver button on the LVC-IV module (refer to Fig. 2A in the manual).
2. The signal light on the module will flash slowly.
3. Within 10 seconds, press the "DOWN" button on the RF transmitter (refer to Fig. 2C in the manual).
4. The signal light on the module will flash three times quickly, indicating that the remote control has been unlearned.
Please note that the operating range of the RF remote control is 250ft (76 meters) in open distance. The RF signal strength may degrade with each wall it needs to penetrate. If you are experiencing issues with RF signal strength, you can improve reception by threading the RF antenna out of one of the knockouts.
Important considerations for RF remote control usage:
- Make sure the RF receiver does not touch metal objects, as it can negatively affect the maximum distance of the transmitter.
- Disconnect the power supply before installing the RF receiver.
- Avoid electrostatic interference, as static electricity can damage the electronic components.
- Maintain a distance of more than 5' (1.52M) between the RF receiver and the ground.
- Maintain a distance of more than 1' (30.5cm) between the RF receiver and the ceiling.
- Maintain a distance of more than 1' (30.5cm) between the RF receiver and the transmitter.
- If using multiple receivers, ensure they are spaced more than 8" (20cm) apart.
