To configure the SPC Bridge Modbus for communication with your Vanderbilt SPC panel, follow these steps:
1. Make sure your Vanderbilt SPC panel has firmware version 3.6 or higher, as this is the first version that supports FlexC.
2. Connect the SPC Bridge LAN port to your network switch or router using a regular network cable.
3. Power up the SPC Bridge by connecting the included power adapter to a wall socket and then to the SPC Bridge.
4. Wait for the SPC Bridge to fully start up, which usually takes about 3 minutes.
5. Open a web browser and access your router (DHCP-server) to find the IP address assigned to the SPC Bridge. Type the IP address in the web browser to go to the SPC Bridge sign-in page.
6. Assign a static IP address to the SPC Bridge by following the instructions in the System Administration section of the user guide.
7. Configure the SPC communication by following the instructions in the SPC Bridge Configuration section of the user guide. This includes setting up the FlexC communication link between the SPC panel and the SPC Bridge.
8. Test the SPC communication by using the SPC Communication Test feature in the SPC Bridge web interface. This will ensure that the communication between the SPC Bridge and the SPC panel is working properly.
9. Configure the Modbus communication by setting the Modbus Server Port and Client Inactivity Timeout in the Modbus TCP Server section of the SPC Bridge web interface. You can also specify the IP address of the Modbus Client allowed to connect to the SPC Bridge Modbus.
10. Once the configuration is complete, you can use the Modbus Datapoints feature in the SPC Bridge web interface to troubleshoot and monitor the Modbus datapoints.
Please refer to the user guide for more detailed instructions and information on each step of the configuration process.
