To install the Akuvox E16 Face Recognition Door Phone, follow these steps:
1. Wall-mounting Bracket Installation:
- If you have an embedded one-gang junction box (86x86 mm or 2x3 inches) in the wall, fix the wall-mounting bracket on the embedded box with two M4x30 crosshead screws.
- If you have an 86x86 mm embedded junction box in the wall, fix the wall-mounting bracket on the box with two M4x30 crosshead screws.
- If you have a 2x3 inches embedded single-gang box in the wall, fix the wall-mounting bracket on the single-gang junction box with two M4x30 crosshead screws.
- If you don't have an embedded gang box in the wall, put the wall-mounting bracket closely on the wall according to the position of the cable. Mark the four positioning holes and wire holes, then drill them using a 6 mm hand drill. Fix the wall-mounting bracket with four ST 4x20 crosshead screws.
2. Device Installation:
- If you don't have a digital forehead or wrist temperature detector, lead the wires from the wall-mounting bracket and the detector through the square hole on the wiring cover. Connect them to the corresponding interface of the main board. Push all the cables into the wiring cover using a suitable size rubber plug. Fix the sealing pressing plate to the wiring cover with two M2.5x6 crosshead screws. Hang the device on the square hanger on the wall-mounting bracket and tighten it with the provided xxxx .
- If you have a digital forehead temperature detector, fasten the detector on the wiring cover with two M3X10.5 hex socket screws. Lead the wires from the wall-mounting bracket and the detector through the square hole on the wiring cover. Connect them to the corresponding interface of the main board. Push all the cables into the wiring cover using a suitable size rubber plug. Fix the sealing pressing plate to the wiring cover with two M2.5x6 crosshead screws. Hang the device on the square hanger on the wall-mounting bracket and tighten it with the provided xxxx .
- If you have a digital wrist temperature detector, fix the two holes of the detector onto the installation pins on the wall-bracket. Tighten the detector on the inner threaded bolt with two M3x4 crosshead screws. Follow the same steps as above to complete the device installation.
3. Device Wiring:
- Ensure proper protection against voltage peaks when connecting devices containing a coil. Use a diode 1A/200V (included in the accessories) connected antiparallel to the device.
- Refer to the wire length and AWG table provided in the manual to select the appropriate wire gauge/length for installation.
