To set the Velocity of Propagation (VOP) on the SPX 1205CXB High Resolution TDR Cable Fault Locator, follow these steps:
1. Press the "ConFiGuration" button (Button 5) on the keypad.
2. Use the arrow buttons (Buttons 11) to scroll through the Config submenu until "VOP" is highlighted.
3. Press the "ENTER" button (Button 12) to select the VOP parameter.
4. Use the left and right arrow buttons (Buttons 11) to change the VOP value. The left and right arrows change the VOP by 1%, while the up and down arrows change the VOP by 0.1%.
5. Set the VOP value to match the VOP of the cable you are analyzing for accurate distance measurement.
6. Press the "ENTER" button (Button 12) to confirm the VOP value.
Note: The VOP value is important for accurate distance measurement. Refer to the cable datasheet or the provided list of typical VOPs for common cable types in the user manual to determine the appropriate VOP value for your cable.
