To install the Westinghouse Alloy Ceiling Fan, please follow the steps outlined in the owner's manual:
1. Safety First: Before beginning the installation, turn off the power at the fuse box to avoid electrical shock.
2. Mounting Bracket Installation: Depending on your ceiling type (solid wood or concrete), follow the instructions provided in the manual to securely xxxx the mounting bracket to the ceiling.
3. Downrod Mount: Remove the clamp pin and cross pin from the downrod. Loosen the setscrew in the downrod ball until the ball moves easily up and down the downrod. Slide the downrod ball down, exposing the cross pin. Remove the cross pin and save it for later use.
4. Wiring: Insert the downrod through the canopy and coupling cover. Carefully thread the lead wires and plug through the downrod and ball assembly. Re-install the cross pin into the downrod and slide the downrod ball up until the cross pin fits firmly into the ball. Tighten the set xxxx in the ball. Insert the downrod into the downrod coupling, aligning the holes, and secure them with the cross pin and clamp pin.
5. Blade Assembly: Attach the blade brackets to the blades using the provided screws, fabric washers, and decorative nuts. Then, attach the blade assembly to the motor using the screws and washers provided.
6. Hang the Fan: Lift the fan assembly onto the mounting bracket and rotate it until the notch on the downrod ball engages the ridge on the mounting bracket. This will allow for hands-free wiring. Connect the plug connectors from the ceiling fan and terminal block, and attach the ground wire from the downrod to the mounting bracket.
7. Remote Sensor: Place the remote sensor into the hole on the inside of the canopy and secure it with the red cap.
8. Secure to Ceiling: Position the canopy under the screws in the mounting bracket and rotate it until the screws drop into the slot recesses. Tighten the screws securely and install two additional screws into the mating holes of the canopy to secure it to the mounting bracket.
9. Light Fixture Installation: Align the indentations on the neck of the glass with the protrusions from the light kit. Lift the glass up, allowing the protrusions to engage the indentations, and twist the glass clockwise to lock it into place.
10. Remote Control: Install batteries in the remote control and use it to turn the fan on/off and control the light.
Please note that these are general instructions, and it is important to refer to the specific instructions provided in the Westinghouse Alloy Ceiling Fan owner's manual for your model.
