To install the U-tec LATCH 5 Smart Fingerprint Lock, please follow these steps:
1. Prepare the door: Make sure the latch angle faces the door jamb. Also, install the strike on the door frame and ensure that the latch will match the strike.
2. Install the exterior keypad assembly: Ensure that the triangle on the keypad assembly is facing upwards as illustrated. Route the cable above the bolt and through the designated hole.
3. Install the Interior Mounting Plate.
4. Install the interior assembly: If the door thickness is over 1.65” (42mm), install the spring. Plug in the spindle and attach the connectors as indicated in the manual. Secure the interior assembly.
5. Install batteries and cover.
6. Install the interior/exterior lever.
