To properly connect and use the UBIQUITI POE-48-24W-G PoE Injector, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the power source and equipment you are connecting to the PoE Injector are compatible with the voltage, frequency, and current requirements specified on the manufacturer's label.
2. Connect the detachable power cord provided with the PoE Injector to the power input on the injector. Make sure to use the approved type of power cord and do not substitute it with another type.
3. Connect the other end of the power cord to a grounded safety outlet. It is important to have proper grounding for safety reasons.
4. Connect the Ethernet cable from your network device (e.g., IP camera, wireless access point) to the LAN port on the PoE Injector.
5. Connect another Ethernet cable from the PoE port on the Injector to the network switch or router.
6. Ensure that there is at least 20 mm of clearance next to the ventilation holes of the PoE Injector to allow for adequate airflow and prevent overheating.
7. Once all connections are made, power on the PoE Injector by turning on the power switch if available.
8. The PoE Injector will provide power to the connected network device through the Ethernet cable. Make sure the device is compatible with PoE and supports the power requirements provided by the Injector.
