To install the UBIQUITI RD-3G26 Rocket Dish, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you have the necessary tools, including a Phillips #1 screwdriver, a 16 mm or 5/8" wrench, and a 24 mm wrench.
2. Handle the Dish Reflector with care to avoid deformations that may reduce the antenna's effectiveness.
3. The Dish Reflector and Antenna Feed are keyed, so the Antenna Feed can only be installed in a single orientation. Make sure to align them correctly.
4. Do not handle the antenna by the Antenna Feed once it is connected.
5. Mount the RocketM3/M3 GPS or RocketM365/M365 GPS (sold separately) onto the Rocket Dish using the provided hardware.
6. Use shielded Category 5 (or above) cabling with a drain wire for all wired Ethernet connections. Ground the cable through the AC ground of the PoE.
7. It is recommended to use industrial-grade, shielded Ethernet cable from Ubiquiti to protect your networks from outdoor environments and ESD events. For more information, visit ui.com/toughcable.
8. Securely mount the Rocket Dish using the included Universal Pole Mount, Rocket Bracket, and Weatherproof RF Jumpers.
