To install the Munters FH1709 Pipe Hanging Kit for the CX74 fan, please follow the steps below:
1. Start by unpacking the equipment and checking for any shipping damage. If you notice any damage, report it immediately to your freight carrier.
2. The kit includes two Pipe Hanger Brackets (CX74, CTD-STL, BLK) and two Pipe Clamp Brackets (CX74, CTD-STL, BLK). Attach a Pipe Hanger Bracket to the brackets on each end of the fan using four ⅜”-16 x 1.5” Flange Hex Bolts (ZP), eight ⅜” Flat Washers (USS, ZP), and four ⅜”-16 Nylock Nuts (ZP) for each bracket. Refer to Figure 1 in the manual for visual guidance.
3. Secure the fan with the Pipe Hanger Brackets to the NPS 3” pipe using two Pipe Clamps and eight ⅜”-16 x 2.5” Hex Bolts (ZP), sixteen ⅜” Flat Washers (USS, ZP), and eight ⅜”-16 Nylock Nuts (ZP). See Figure 2 for reference.
4. If you want to angle the fan down, you can loosen the Pipe Clamp bolts, rotate the fan to the desired angle, and then retighten the Pipe Clamp bolts. Refer to Figure 3 in the manual for a visual representation.
Please note that the installed pipe must be capable of holding the weight of the 300 lb. fan.
