To properly install the Munters FH1707 Free Hanging Hanger Kit, please follow the step-by-step instructions provided in the instruction manual:
1. Unpack the Equipment: Before starting the installation, check the overall condition of the equipment and remove any packing materials. Examine all components for signs of shipping damage and report any damage to your freight carrier.
2. Parts List: The FH1707 kit includes one Horizontal Hanger Bracket (73" L), two Vertical Hanger Arms (24" L), and a hardware package.
3. Assembly:
- Step 1: Attach two Eye Bolts [A] to the Horizontal Hanger Bracket using two Nuts [B].
- Step 2: Attach each of the two Vertical Hanger Arms to the Horizontal Hanger Bracket using three Bolts [C] and Nuts [D]. Make sure the opening in the "C" channel faces outward and the angled "Foot" points down and out.
- Step 3: Remove the bolts and nuts from the bracket on the top of the fan and from the end of the upper angled struts where they are bolted to the Orifice. Discard these bolts and nuts.
4. Installation:
- Step 4A: Place the Hanger Bracket Assembly on top of the fan, with the shorter side of the bracket on the prop side of the fan and the longer side on the motor side. Secure it in place using four Bolts [C] and Nuts [D].
- Step 4B: Align the Angled Foot on the Vertical Hanger Arms with the holes in the orifice and strut where the bolts and nuts were removed previously. Fasten the Hanger Arms to the orifice/strut using two Bolts [C] and Nuts [D]. Do not reuse the bolts and nuts removed previously.
- Step 5: Install two Eye Bolts [A] to the bottom bracket of the fan in the larger hole next to the pre-installed bolt with the eye on the motor side of the fan. Secure them in place using two Nuts [B].
- Step 6: Hang the Fan Assembly from each Eye Bolt [A] in the Horizontal Hanger Bracket. Ensure that the hanging material and hanging points are rated for 2,100 lbs (950 Kg). Chains should be at a slight angle and not run straight up. The Slots in the Horizontal Hanger Bracket can be used to lift the fan with the forks of a Lift Truck or Tractor. Take care not to damage the fan when lifting.
- Step 7: If desired, angle the hanging fans down by attaching chains and S-hooks (not provided) to the Eye Bolts [A] attached to the bracket on the bottom of the fan. Secure the chains to give the fan the desired angle.
