To remove the existing Top Works assembly from the FW MURPHY M50 Natural Gas Propane Shut-Off Valve, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect all power and purge pressure before disconnecting wires and pressure connections. Also, relieve all internal pressure and purge the valve of all fluid or gas.
2. Remove the existing mounting bolts that fasten the existing Top Works assembly to the valve body. There are a total of four hex head cap screws that are used to couple the two components.
3. Upon removal of the fasteners, separate the unit from the valve body slowly. Check to verify that there is no debris present. Remove any visible debris from the unit, as the debris may cause the valve to malfunction.
