To set up the , follow these steps:
1. Connecting the W70B base station:
- Choose the power option: AC power or Power over Ethernet (PoE). Your System Administrator will advise you on which one to use.
- For AC power: Connect the DC plug on the power adapter to the DC5V port on the base station and plug the other end into an electrical outlet. Connect the Ethernet cable between the Internet port on the base station and the Internet port in your network or switch/hub device.
- For Power over Ethernet: Connect the Ethernet cable between the Internet port on the base station and an available PoE port on your network switch. Make sure the switch is PoE compliant.
2. Setting up the W56H handset:
- Insert the rechargeable battery into the battery compartment on the back of the handset.
- Connect the USB plug on the charger cradle to the DC5V port on the power adapter, and then plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet.
- Place the handset in the charger cradle to start charging. The battery takes about 3 hours to fully charge.
3. Additional features:
- The W70B base station has LEDs that indicate its status. The Paging Key can locate a misplaced handset, toggle the registration mode, or reset the base station to factory settings.
- The W56H handset has various keys and features, including the Earpiece, Power Indicator LED, LCD Screen, Softkeys, Message Key, Speaker Key, Navigation Keys, OK Key, Power/Off Key, Alphanumerical Keypad, Transfer Key, Mute Key, Microphone, Speaker, and 3.5mm earphone jack.
- There are shortcuts available, such as accessing call history, checking line status, placing internal calls, adjusting ringer volume, and accessing the directory.
