To properly install the Uolfin 2740921 6-Light Distressed Gray Wood and Brushed Black fixture, please follow the steps outlined in the instruction manual:
1. Pre-installation:
- Adjust the wooden arms (L) to the proper position.
- Fix the wooden arms (L) with the arms cover (K) by tightening the nut (M) to the bottom of the wooden arms (L).
- Pass the fixture wires through the arms cover (K) and fix the wooden arms (L) with the arms cover (K), then tighten the loop (J) to the top of the wooden arms (L).
- Determine the correct number of links needed for proper hanging height and use chain pliers to disconnect and discard any unwanted parts.
- Attach the quick link (H) to the chain (I) and loop (J) on the top of the arms cover (K).
- Carefully weave the fixture wires through the chain (I) in and out of every other link, stopping just when you reach the top of the chain (I). Gently pull the wires to ensure they are not stressed.
2. Turn off power:
- Go to the main fuse or circuit breaker box in your home and place the main power switch in the "OFF" position.
- Place the wall switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Installation:
- Remove the collar ring (F) from the collar loop (G) and attach the single bar (C) to the outlet box using the mounting screws (B). Make sure the side of the single bar (C) marked "GND" faces out.
- Raise the canopy (E) over the collar loop (G) and xxxx the collar ring (F) to measure a proper position.
- Pass the chain (I) through the collar ring (F) and then through the canopy (E).
- Open the quick link (H), attach it to the collar loop (G), and close the quick link (H). Pass the fixture wires through the collar loop (G) to the top of the pre-assembled threaded xxxx and gently pull to ensure the wires are not stressed.
- If needed, shorten the length of the fixture wires, ensuring that the remaining wire length measured above the single bar (C) is at least 6".
- Make wire connections according to the provided chart, ensuring that ground wires are connected properly.
- Twist wires together with plastic wire connectors until tightly joined, and wrap each connector with approved electrical tape. Ensure no wire strands are exposed and carefully tuck all wires into the outlet box.
- Raise the canopy (E) to the ceiling and secure it in place by tightening the collar ring (F) onto the collar loop (G).
- Install bulbs (not included) according to the maximum wattage recommended on the socket.
- Double-check that everything is properly installed before turning on the light.
