To connect the Adastra 953230UK Active Paging Station to speakers, follow these steps:
1. Identify the Zone 1 and Zone 2 speaker output terminals (9, 10) on the rear panel of the paging station.
2. Connect your speakers to these terminals using 2-core speaker cable.
3. Ensure that the green Euroblock xxxx terminals are unplugged for easier connection.
4. Connect the "+" terminal of the speaker to the "+" connection of the corresponding speaker output terminal.
5. Connect the "-" terminal of the speaker to the "-" connection of the corresponding speaker output terminal.
6. Each speaker zone output can deliver a total of 30W at 4Ω. You can connect a single 8Ω speaker to either zone, receiving up to 15W. Alternatively, you can connect 2 x 8Ω speakers in parallel to either zone, with each speaker receiving up to 15W. Another option is to connect a single 4Ω speaker to either speaker zone output, which would receive up to 30W.
7. Make sure that the combined impedance connected to each speaker output is not lower than 4Ω and that the speakers can handle the output power at that combined load impedance.
To connect audio sources to the Adastra 953230UK Active Paging Station, follow these steps:
1. Mount the gooseneck microphone into the XLR microphone connector on top of the base unit (1).
2. If you want to connect a background music or line-level audio source, use a stereo 3.5mm jack and connect it to the 3.5mm Aux input at the rear of the base unit (6).
3. The audio from the Aux input will play through both zones as stereo left + right to zone 1 and 2.
4. The level of the Aux signal can be controlled using the Aux output level control (7).
5. The Aux signal indicator will react to the audio accordingly.
6. Finally, connect the supplied power adaptor to the DC input jack on the rear panel (11).
