To install the Uolfin 5106315 Wall Sconce, please follow these steps:
1. Safety precautions: Before starting the installation, ensure that the main power switch and wall switch are turned off. Also, make sure to hire a licensed electrician for installation to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal injury.
2. Mounting surface preparation: Ensure that the mounting surface is clean, dry, flat, and strong enough to support the weight of the lamp. It should also be 1/4" larger than the canopy on all sides. Correct any gaps exceeding 3/16" as required.
3. Voltage and wattage: Confirm that the voltage you are using is 120V, and the maximum wattage per bulb is 40W.
4. Handling precautions: Keep the lamp away from acidic and alkaline substances to avoid damaging the surface. When replacing bulbs, turn off or unplug the lamp and wait until it cools down, as bulbs can get hot quickly.
5. Tools required: Before starting assembly and installation, ensure you have the following tools: (C) Green ground xxxx , (D) Mounting plate, (E) Back plate, (F) Studs, (G) Socket ring, (H) Washer, (I) Glass shade, (J) Socket, (K) Arm. These tools are not included with the product.
6. Assembly and installation: Carefully remove the fixture from the packaging and ensure that all parts and accessories are included.
7. Turn off power: Before starting the installation, turn off the main power switch and wall switch.
8. Make assembly: Unscrew the studs (F) from the back plate (E) and set them aside. Pass the supply wires from the outlet box through the mounting plate (C) and secure it to the outlet box using the mounting screws (A).
9. Wire connections: Connect the wires according to the provided wire connection chart. Ensure that the ground wire is connected properly and never connect other wires to the ground wire.
10. Secure back plate: Align the holes in the back plate (E) and mounting plate (C), then secure them with the previously removed studs (F).
11. Install glass shade and socket: Remove the socket ring (G) and washer (H) from the socket (J). Carefully place the glass shade (I) and washer (H) on the socket (J), then secure it with the socket ring (G).
12. Install bulb: Install a bulb (not included) into the socket, making sure not to exceed the maximum recommended wattage.
13. Final check and power on: Ensure that everything is installed properly, then turn on the power to enjoy the light.
