Wiring the KE2 Temp Air Defrost controller is a straightforward process. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Start by removing the display cover by loosening the four corner screws. Be careful not to use excessive force to avoid damaging the board.
2. Once the cover is removed, you will see the high voltage protective cover held in place by two screws. Remove the cover to access the xxxx terminal connectors.
3. The red 2-position connector is for the controller's power supply. Set the voltage selector switch to match the supplied voltage. Connect line (L1) to the leftmost terminal position (1) and neutral (L2) to terminal position (2).
4. The liquid line solenoid (LLS) relay can accept various input voltages and does not need to match the controller's input. Refer to the relay ratings table provided in the manual. Connect one leg of the incoming power supply (L1) for the solenoid to the common terminal of the liquid line solenoid relay (5). Connect the other leg of incoming power (L2) for the solenoid directly to one of the solenoid leads. Connect the remaining lead for the solenoid to the NO (normally open) terminal of the liquid line solenoid relay (4).
5. Proper wiring practices must be followed, and local wiring codes take precedence over the information in the manual.
6. After completing the wiring, replace the high voltage shield.
Please note that this is a general guide, and it is essential to refer to the specific instructions and diagrams provided in the KE2 Temp Air Defrost Installation Guide for accurate and detailed wiring instructions.
