To install and configure the ELPRO Technologies 415U-Ex-Cx Wireless Mesh Modem and Gateway, follow these steps:
1. Antenna Installation:
- Select an antenna suitable for your radio proximity.
- Refer to Figure 1 in the installation guide for guidance on installing and attaching the antenna to the 415U-E-Cx.
2. Connecting to the Module for Configuration:
- Download and install the configuration application "CConfig" from the ELPRO website (www.elpro.com.au).
- Connect your PC to the module using the supplied USB cable.
- Access the device at the IP address 192.168.111.1.
- Your PC will be automatically assigned an IP address via DHCP.
- Use the following credentials to log in:
- Username: user
- Password: user
Note: Ensure all connections are SELV (<50 Vac and <60 Vdc).
3. Power Supply Wiring:
- The ground (GND) and "SUP -" terminals are internally connected to the ground terminal and module enclosure.
- Connect the xxxx terminal on the end plate to ground for surge protection.
- Refer to the user manual for RF duty cycle derating when powering the module from SUP+ and SUP- terminals.
4. Expansion I/O Power and RS-485 Serial Connection:
- An on-board RS-485 terminating resistor provides line termination for long runs.
- Enable terminating resistors at the far end of the RS-485 cable.
5. Configuration Switches:
- Use the DIP switches in the side access panel to select default configuration settings.
- Refer to the manual for specific details on each DIP switch's function.
6. Input and Output Connections:
- The digital input/output channels can be wired as inputs or outputs.
- High-speed pulsed input, digital input, and digital output are supported.
