To install the T238 DTU V2.0 Bluetooth Version for V2 Gearbox, please follow these steps:
1. Before installation, make sure to shim the gears properly. Ensure that the sector gear does not reach the gear sensors to avoid damaging them.
2. If you are not using a gel ball gearbox, remove the two wires specified in the manual.
3. Find the PVC stickers included in the DTU box. Paste these stickers on the surface of the DTU PCB to prevent electric leakage.
4. Locate the adhesive rubber pads in the accessory package. Remove the yellow paper from the back of the pads. Stick these pads on the pins and let the pins go through them.
5. Disassemble the gearbox and remove all unnecessary parts, as indicated in the manual.
6. Begin the installation of the DTU by putting the bottom board into the gearbox. Ensure that the xxxx column of the gearbox aligns with the xxxx hole of the bottom board. If there is a compatibility issue, it is recommended to modify the gearbox for a smoother installation.
7. Check if the components on the back of the PCB will affect the installation. If necessary, modify the gearbox accordingly.
8. Find the xxxx washer and place it in the designated position.
9. Secure the bottom board with the cut-off lever xxxx , ensuring that it is not loose as it may affect the detection of the gear sensors.
10. Adjust the wires and ensure that the sensors' surface is clean and unobstructed.
11. Refer to the manual to locate the correct position for the sensors.
12. Check if the other side of the gearbox is compatible with the DTU top board. Modify it if necessary.
13. Verify if the top board can be leveled against the gearbox. If not, it is recommended to modify the gearbox.
14. Put everything back into the gearbox, excluding the three parts mentioned in step 8. Ensure that the trigger does not touch the DTU.
15. Insert the top board and ensure that the rubber pads are relaxed. They will only be squeezed when the other side of the gearbox is installed.
16. Clean the gearbox and gears, using minimal gear oil to avoid polluting the sensors and affecting the DTU's normal operation. Once confirmed, install the other side of the gearbox and tighten the screws.
17. Find the white stickers in the accessory package.
18. Take one sticker and place it on the selector plate, close to the red line.
19. Put the selector plate back into the gearbox.
20. If you are using a gel ball gearbox, solder the two wires as instructed, paying attention to the wire order.
21. After correct installation, the DTU will only react when the selector plate is in SEMI-AUTO or FULL-AUTO position. In the SAFE position, the trigger can still be pulled, but the DTU will not react.
22. Ensure that the sector gear is running for the DTU to work correctly. Check the connection between the grip and the motor to the gearbox, and ensure the sector gear runs when the motor is activated.
23. After correctly installing the gearbox into the receiver, you should hear beeps when switching the selector. If not, there may be an installation error, damaged selector sensors, or incorrect placement or detachment of the white sticker. It is recommended to disassemble the gearbox for troubleshooting.
24. If you only have SAFE and SEMI-AUTO functions without FULL-AUTO after installation, the position of the white sticker on the selector plate may be incorrect. Move the white sticker to the left by 1-2mm until all functions are normal.
25. If you only have SEMI-AUTO and FULL-AUTO functions without SAFE after installation, the position of the white sticker on the selector plate may be incorrect. Move the white sticker to the right by 1-2mm until all functions are normal.
26. If your selector plate is not black, blackening the area of the white sticker by 1-2mm can achieve the same effect.
Please refer to the manual provided with the product for further details and illustrations.
