To adjust the hanging length of the chandelier, follow these steps:
1. Determine the desired hanging length by removing chain links (GG) if needed. Note that you should not cut the electrical or ground wires until the overall length is determined.
2. Open a chain link at one end of the chain (GG) using pliers. Hook the open chain link onto the chain loop (B) and close the chain links back together with the pliers.
3. Attach the other end of the chain link to the chain holder (EE) and use the quick link (HH) to secure it tightly.
4. Weave the wires through every third chain link (GG) and pass them through the xxxx collar (DD) and canopy (JJ).
5. Strip 3/8" of insulation from the electrical wire ends. Connect the RIBBED fixture wire to the WHITE supply wire from the outlet box using a wire nut (BB). Connect the SMOOTH fixture wire to the BLACK supply wire using another wire nut (BB). Connect the fixture ground wire and supply ground wire using a wire nut or by fastening to the ground xxxx on the mounting strap.
6. Tuck the wires into the outlet box and slip the canopy (JJ) over the chain holder. Thread the xxxx collar (DD) onto the chain holder to secure the canopy tightly to the ceiling.
By following these steps, you can adjust the hanging length of the Progress Lighting P500377 Galloway Chandelier to your desired height.
