To properly ground the , follow these steps:
1. If the mounting strap is provided with a hole and two raised dimples, wrap the ground wire from the outlet box around the green ground xxxx and thread it into the hole.
2. If a cupped washer is provided, put the ground wire from the outlet box under the cupped washer and the green ground xxxx , and thread the xxxx into the hole in the mounting strap.
3. If the fixture is provided with a ground wire, connect the fixture ground wire to the outlet box ground wire using a wire connector, after following the above steps.
Note: Never connect the ground wire to the black or white power supply wires.
