To install the National Hardware SN12171-00 Wall Gallery Hardware Kit, you will need to follow the instructions provided in the installation guide. Here is a step-by-step guide for both hook and nail hanger installation and wire and xxxx eye installation:
For hook and nail hanger installation:
1. Measure the picture frame: Use a tape measure to measure the dimensions of your picture frame.
2. Measure from the top of the frame to the hardware on the back of the picture: Measure the distance from the top of the frame to the hardware on the back of the picture using a tape measure.
3. Weigh your picture: Determine the weight of your picture.
4. Select the appropriate safe working load hanger: Choose the appropriate hanger from the National Hardware SN12171-00 Wall Gallery Hardware Kit based on the weight of your picture.
For wire and xxxx eye installation:
1. Attach xxxx eyes: Attach xxxx eyes about a quarter or third of the way down from the top of the picture. Measure the distance, mark it with a pencil, and repeat on the other side.
2. Angle the xxxx eye upward: Angle the xxxx eye upward at about a 45-degree angle. Do not xxxx them in pointing directly toward one another.
3. Measure and cut the wire: Find the middle of the frame and pull the picture wire up gently until you reach a point about 2 inches from the top. Measure the picture wire 5 inches through the eyelet and trim. Repeat the same process on the other side, leaving 5 inches of excess wire.
4. Angle the xxxx eye upward: Angle the xxxx eye upward at about a 45-degree angle. Do not xxxx them in pointing directly toward one another.
