To install the KICHLER 45888OZ Tao Wall Sconce, please follow the steps below:
1. Before starting the installation, make sure to disconnect power at the main circuit breaker panel or main fusebox.
2. Find the appropriate threaded holes on the mounting strap that align with the hole distance in the canopy. Thread the mounting screws into these threaded holes, starting from the outlet box side.
3. Attach the mounting strap to the outlet box using the strap mounting screws. The mounting strap can be adjusted to suit the position of the fixture.
4. Grounding instructions:
- If the mounting strap is provided with a hole and two raised dimples, wrap the ground wire from the outlet box around the green ground xxxx and thread it into the hole.
- If a cupped washer is provided, put the ground wire from the outlet box under the cupped washer and green ground xxxx , then thread the xxxx into the hole in the mounting strap.
- If the fixture is provided with a ground wire, connect the fixture ground wire to the outlet box ground wire using a wire connector. Never connect the ground wire to black or white power supply wires.
5. Make wire connections according to the chart provided in the manual. Connect the black or red supply wire to the corresponding wire color indicated in the chart. Connect the white supply wire to the other wire color indicated in the chart.
6. The fixture can be mounted with the glass in the up or down position.
7. Carefully push the fixture to the wall, passing the mounting screws through the holes in the canopy. Ensure that all wires are inside the canopy and do not get pinched between the wall and the fixture's canopy.
8. Thread the lockup knobs and lockwashers onto the mounting screws and tighten them to secure the fixture to the wall.
9. Place the glass over the socket as shown.
10. xxxx on the glass retainer to secure the glass in place.
11. Finally, insert the recommended bulb.
