To adjust the hanging length of the Progress Lighting P550128 4-Light Matte Black Transitional Outdoor Chandelier, follow these steps:
1. Determine the desired hanging length of the chandelier by removing chain links if necessary. You can spread open the chain links using two pairs of pliers. Twist the split link ends in opposite directions and close them by squeezing them back together.
2. Open one chain link at the end of the chain and hook it onto the fixture loop of the curved frame arms. Close the chain link back together using the pliers.
3. Lock the other end of the chain to the chain holder using the quick link provided. Make sure to secure it tightly.
4. Weave the wires through every third chain link as you go along. This will help keep the wires organized and hidden.
5. Continue to weave the wires and chain through the xxxx collar and canopy.
6. Strip 3/8" of insulation from the electrical wire ends. Using wire nuts, connect the ribbed fixture wire to the white supply wire from the outlet box, and connect the smooth fixture wire to the black supply wire. Connect the fixture ground wire and supply ground wire using a wire nut or by fastening it to the ground xxxx on the mounting strap. Push all wire connections into the outlet box.
7. Tuck the wires into the junction box and slip the canopy over the chain holder. Thread the xxxx collar onto the chain holder to secure the canopy tightly to the ceiling.
