To clean and disinfect the KaWe Standard Prestige Stethoscope, follow these steps:
1. After examining each patient, clean and disinfect the stethoscope with a 70% alcohol solution or a mild soap solution. Use a soaked tissue or cloth to wipe down the stethoscope, paying attention to the diaphragm, hoses, and headset including the ear tips.
2. Take into account the duration of exposure of the cleaning agent used.
3. Periodically, perform a thorough cleaning of the individual components of the stethoscope. For this, you can remove the ear tips and membrane. Remove the retaining ring on the diaphragm and handle it with care to prevent damage.
4. Allow all the components to dry completely before reassembling the stethoscope.
Note: Automatic cleaning or sterilization processes are not allowed for the KaWe Standard Prestige Stethoscope.
