To install the GYS WS-4R Welding Wire Feeder on a generator, follow these steps:
1. Use the 3 screws (included with the generator) to fix the bottom part of the swivel support onto the generator. The upper part of the support is already fixed under the wire feeder.
2. Connect the interconnection cable between the wire feeder and the generator.
3. Open the door of the wire feeder and position the wire reel on the support, making sure to align the pin.
4. Adjust the brake to avoid reel movement that could tangle the wire when welding stops.
5. Tighten the plastic xxxx firmly to secure the wire reel in place.
6. Release the fixing xxxx of the wire guide and put the rollers in place. The visible diameter on the roller should be equal to the wire diameter used.
7. Place the wire guide as close as possible to the roller without touching it, then tighten the fixing xxxx .
8. To adjust the drive rollers, loosen the drive roller xxxx as far as possible. Insert the wire until it exits the other side by about 2cm. Start the motor by pressing the torch trigger, then tighten the xxxx while pressing the trigger. Bend the wire where it comes out of the nozzle and hold it in place to stop its progress. The setting is correct when the guide roller slides over the wire, even when it is blocked at the end of the torch.
