To set up the INTEX 28001 Auto Pool Cleaner, please follow these steps:
1. Make sure the pool wall or floor is free from algae. Treat the pool water with algaecide and wait for the algae to shed before using the auto cleaner.
2. Turn off the filter pump and unscrew the nozzle from the water return connector inside the pool.
3. Insert the micro-screen into the hose adaptor and xxxx the hose adaptor to the threaded strainer connector inside the pool.
4. xxxx the hose with the hose collar nut to the hose adaptor.
5. Extend the hose to the opposite side of the pool wall, overhanging the wall, and cut the excess hose.
6. Connect the end of the hose with the hose collar nut to the auto pool cleaner inlet. Insert the hose collar nut into the inlet opening and turn the inlet rim clockwise to tighten the hose.
7. Hold the auto cleaner upside down below the water surface to remove any air in the hose. Stretch out the hose by slowly pulling the auto cleaner across the pool to the opposite side.
8. Turn on the filter pump and make sure water is flowing through the micro-screen and the hose adaptor. The auto cleaner is now moving and vacuuming the pool floor.
Note: It is important to clean or replace the filter cartridge or backwash the sand media frequently to keep the water clean. If using a sand filter pump, the system flow may diminish and the pressure may rise, which is normal. Refer to the sand filter pump manual for more details.
