To install the HINKLEY 900860FMW-LWD FLUSH 60 in. Indoor/Outdoor Integrated LED fan, follow these steps:
1. Read the installation instructions and review the diagrams thoroughly before beginning.
2. Turn off the electricity at the main power box before wiring to avoid electric shock.
3. Make sure the outlet box or supporting system is marked acceptable for fan support of 35 lbs or less. Replace the outlet box if necessary.
4. Ensure that the fan blades are at least 7 feet from the floor and will not come in contact with any objects.
5. Attach the blades after hanging the motor housing in place. Keep the motor housing in the carton until ready to install.
6. Make electrical connections according to local codes and ordinances. Spliced conductors should be turned upward and pushed carefully into the outlet box.
7. Install any additional light kits according to their instructions.
8. After the fan is completely installed, check that all connections are secure to prevent the fan from falling or causing damage.
9. The fan can be operated immediately after installation, as the bearings are adequately charged with grease.
10. To operate the reverse function, press the reverse button while the fan is running.
