To install the Project Source 42655 3-Light Chandelier, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the circuit breakers and the wall switch to the supply line leads to ensure safety.
2. Attach the mounting bracket (G) to the outlet box using the provided mounting screws.
3. Loosen the ground xxxx (K) preassembled to the mounting bracket (G) and wrap the bare/green supply wire around the ground xxxx . Retighten the ground xxxx .
4. Swivel the arms of the fixture (A) so there is an equal distance between them.
5. Feed the wires from the fixture (A) through the decorative tube (C) and twist the decorative tube clockwise into the center of the fixture until secure.
6. If desired, use pliers to open chain links to shorten the chain (D). Open the connecting links (F) by twisting the nut and connect them to each end of the chain (D). Attach the connecting link (F) at the bottom of the chain (D) to the decorative tube (C).
7. Weave the wire from the fixture (A) through the loops of the chain (D), decorative nut (L), and out through the ceiling plate (E).
8. Attach the connecting link (F) at the top of the chain (D) to the chain loop (I). Feed the wires through the hole in the center of the chain loop (I) and out through the hole in the mounting bracket (G).
9. Twist the nut to close the connecting links (F) at each end of the chain (D).
10. Depending on the length of the chain (D) you use, you may need to cut the lead wires back to simplify the wiring. Measure 8 inches of lead wire from the top of the mounting bracket (G) and cut the excess wire off with wire cutters.
11. Separate the two wires from the fixture all the way to the mounting bracket (G). Strip 1/2 inch of insulation from the end of the wires and twist the stripped ends of each strand of wire within the insulation.
12. Connect the bare copper wire from the fixture to the bare/green (ground) supply wire. Connect the wire with ridges from the fixture to the white (neutral) supply wire. Connect the smooth wire from the fixture to the black (hot) supply wire. Secure all wiring connections together with wire connectors.
13. Wrap electrical tape around each individual wire connector down to the wire. Turn the spliced/taped wires upward and gently push them into the outlet box.
14. Lift the ceiling plate (E) flush with the ceiling and use the decorative nut (L) to secure it.
15. Turn the socket ring (J) counterclockwise to remove it from the socket of the fixture (A). Place the shade (B) over the socket and secure it with the socket ring (J) by turning it clockwise.
16. Insert E26-base bulbs into the sockets of the fixture (A).
17. Restore power to the circuit breakers and the wall switch to the supply line leads.
