Cleaning and maintaining your ice maker is important to ensure its proper functioning. Here are the steps to clean and maintain the SMETA SDZB-12A1 Portable Automatic Ice Maker:
1. Before using the ice maker for the first time, it is recommended to clean it thoroughly. Take out the ice basket and clean the interior with diluted detergent, warm water, and a soft cloth. Rinse the inside parts with water and drain out the water through the drainage outlet at the bottom of the machine.
2. Regularly clean the exterior of the ice maker with a mild detergent solution and warm water. Dry the interior and exterior with a clean soft cloth.
3. If the ice maker is not going to be used for a long time, drain the water completely and dry the interior.
4. Change the water in the water reservoir every 24 hours to ensure hygiene. If the unit is not going to be used, drain all the water and dry the tank.
