To install the Q-TRAN QOM-eLED+WD-PS LED Power Supply for swimming pool use, please follow these steps:
1. Mounting Options: The Q-TRAN QOM-eLED+WD-PS LED Power Supply should be installed as shown in the provided installation guide. It is important to ensure proper mounting for safe and effective operation.
2. Wiring Installation: Follow the wiring installation instructions provided in the installation guide. Ensure that all connections are secure and properly insulated. If additional lengths of wire are required for connection in the secondary, contact the factory for availability.
3. Swimming Pool Installation: When installing the power supply for swimming pool use, it is important to comply with the requirements of NEC680 regulation in the United States. The distance from the bottom of the terminal box to the ground should be no less than 4 inches. The vertical distance to the water surface of the swimming pool should not be less than 8 inches, and the horizontal distance to the water edge of the swimming pool should not be less than 48 inches.
4. Power Supply Requirement: Only use an isolating low-voltage power supply with ungrounded output that is evaluated for swimming pool use. This ensures safety and proper functionality.
5. CSA Requirements: The power unit for use with Fountain, Swimming Pool, and Spa Luminaires should be suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It must be installed according to the National Electric Code, local codes and ordinances, and applicable installation codes by a person familiar with the construction and operation of the product and the hazards involved. Follow all safety precautions, such as wearing rubber shoes and working on a sturdy wooden or fiberglass ladder.
6. Packaging and Enclosure: Account for all parts and destroy all packaging materials to avoid hazards, especially to children. Keep the enclosure cover covered for safety purposes.
