The PANORAMA ANTENNAS LPAP-7-42 Series LTE IoT Antenna can be mounted in different ways depending on the version you have.
For the LPAP-7-42 variant (panel mount version):
1. Determine the thickness of the panel. It can be mounted to panels 1-15mm (0.03-0.59") thick via a 12mm (1/2") mounting hole, or to panels 15-25mm (0.69-1") thick via an 18mm (3/4") hole.
2. Mask the panel area around the hole position to protect the surface.
3. Drill a pilot hole, and then increase it to the appropriate size (12mm or 18mm), making sure not to contact any objects under the panel.
4. Clean the area around the hole, removing any swarf.
5. If using the mounting xxxx positions, drill two additional pilot holes to suit No.8 (4.2mm) screws.
6. Remove the protective backing from the underside of the antenna and feed the coaxial cable through the panel.
7. Position the antenna over the hole and stick it to the panel by applying firm downward pressure.
8. Assemble the top hat nut from the underside in the correct orientation for the mounting hole size and tighten it.
9. If using the mounting xxxx positions, position the supplied sealing washers in the xxxx mount recesses before tightening the screws. Do not over-tighten the screws to avoid damaging the antenna housing.
For the LPA-7-42 variant (adhesive mount version):
1. If using the xxxx positions, drill two pilot holes to suit No.8 (4.2mm) screws.
2. Ensure that the selected mounting surface is clean and dry. If needed, de-grease the surface with 70% isopropyl alcohol and allow it to dry.
3. Remove the protective backing from the supplied adhesive pad and adhere it to the underside of the antenna.
4. Position the antenna over the desired location on the panel and remove the remaining protective backing. Stick the antenna to the panel by applying firm downward pressure.
5. If also using the mounting screws, ensure that the supplied sealing washers are positioned in the hole recesses before inserting the screws. Do not over-tighten the screws to avoid damaging the antenna housing.
For pole/mast mounting (LPA-7-42 variant):
1. The antenna can be mounted to poles up to 25mm (1") diameter using the supplied cable ties.
2. Feed the cable ties through the slots in the xxxx mounting recesses.
3. Position the antenna on the pole with the cable exiting downwards, and engage and pull the cable ties tight.
4. Consider taking additional measures to ensure that the antenna cannot slide down the pole.
5. If using alternative cable ties, make sure they are made of UV resistant material.
Always follow the instructions provided in the manual and seek specialist advice if needed to ensure proper installation in compliance with local laws and regulations.
