To install the STEGO Type LP165 heating unit in a control cabinet, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the installation is performed by a qualified electrical technician who is familiar with the national power supply guidelines (IEC 60364) and the safety measures according to VDE 0100.
2. Before starting the installation, carefully read and strictly observe the technical specifications mentioned on the type plate of the heating unit.
3. Make sure that the control cabinet is stationary and sealed to prevent the development of condensation and drops in temperature.
4. Connect the heating unit to a suitable thermostat for temperature control if it does not have an integrated thermostat. The thermostat should be connected in series with the heating unit.
5. The heating unit must be installed vertically with the air blow direction upwards. This ensures proper airflow and prevents damage to components mounted above the air outlet grating.
6. Do not make any changes or modifications to the heating unit. Any damage or malfunction should not be repaired but rather dispose of the heating unit.
7. Connect the heating unit to the mains via an all-pole disconnecting device with a contact gap of at least 3 mm in the switched-off state. This ensures safe operation and easy disconnection when needed.
8. Do not operate the heating unit in environments with aggressive atmospheres.
9. Ensure that the heater is not mounted on flammable materials such as wood or plastic.
10. It is important to dismantle the heater only after it has cooled down to avoid any risk of burns.
