To modify the EMERSON Bettis RTS CM64 from a maximum of 100 revolutions per stroke to a maximum of 300 revolutions per stroke, follow the steps below:
1. Dismount the actuator from the valve and bring it to a workshop or workbench.
2. Prepare all the necessary tools and required parts for the modification.
3. Open the screws between the electric housing and mechanical housing. Make sure that the display is in the top position because the mechanical housing is filled with oil.
4. Remove the pinion by loosening the worm xxxx .
5. Remove the clipper and replace it in the groove below.
6. Mount the pinion back on the shaft and secure it with the worm xxxx .
7. Place the washer on the shaft and then put the pinion on it.
8. Secure the pinion with a clipper.
9. Ensure that the gear is rotating well by turning the handwheel.
10. Assemble both housings together, making sure that the pinions from the electrical and mechanical housings interlock correctly.
11. Proceed to the parameter configuration.
12. Go to System parameters P19.1 and enter the password (the password is different for each actuator).
13. For standard SmartTool License Users, consult the Emerson Sales Team for the Smart Key to change the parameters.
14. Change the values in Table 1 (P19.10) and Table 2 (P19.11) as follows:
- Table 1 (P19.10): Change the old values to the new values - 4 to 5, 9 to 10, 12 to 13, and 16 to 17.
- Table 2 (P19.11): Change the old value 0 to the new value 1.
15. Set the end limits according to your requirements.
16. Once the modification is complete, remount the actuator on the valve.
