To install the HAMILTON-T1 ventilator, follow the steps outlined in the installation guide provided by Hamilton Medical. Here is a summary of the installation process:
1. Installing the oxygen connector:
- Remove the yellow protective cap from the high-pressure oxygen inlet.
- Use a Torx TX 10 screwdriver to remove the two screws.
- Position the DISS or NIST connector in its housing and push it into position.
- Install the two screws to secure the connector.
2. Installing the O2 sensor:
- Use a size 2 slotted screwdriver to remove the xxxx and tilt out the filter cover.
- Check the presence of the O2 sensor. If not installed, contact Hamilton Medical for assistance.
- Remove the yellow protective cap from the O2 sensor housing.
- Align the O2 sensor with the xxxx thread in the housing and turn it clockwise to tighten.
- Insert the cell plug into the O2 sensor.
- Reinstall the filter cover and secure it with the xxxx .
3. Connecting the power sources:
- Install the primary battery by inserting it into the compartment on the right side of the ventilator. If a second battery is available, insert it into the compartment on the left side.

- Connect the AC power cord to the AC socket on the ventilator and secure it with the provided cable clamp.

- Attach the feature icons positioning guide to the front left corner of the ventilator.

- Perform component installation checks, such as ensuring the oxygen connector, O2 sensor, batteries, AC power cord, and icons are correctly installed.
- Perform general checks, including checking the breathing circuit assembly, power and battery symbols on the display, electrical safety tests, leak test, flow sensor calibration test, O2 sensor calibration test, and alarm response.
- Update the Hamilton Connect Module firmware, configure the HCM, and install the Hamilton Connect App if required.
- Complete the Initial Installation Testing and Acceptance Report and send a copy to your local Hamilton Medical representative or techsupport@hamilton-medical.com.
