To change the speed on the Makita HP2050, HP2050F, HP2051F 2 Speed Hammer Drill, you need to use the speed change xxxx . The speed change xxxx is located on the top of the tool, near the trigger.
To change the speed, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the tool is switched off and unplugged.
2. Locate the speed change xxxx on the top of the tool.
3. Turn the speed change xxxx so that the arrow on the tool body points towards the "I" position for low speed or the "II" position for high speed.
4. If the xxxx is difficult to turn, first turn the chuck slightly in either direction and then turn the xxxx again.
5. Once you have selected the desired speed, you can proceed with using the tool.
