To connect the pdk Red 4 Door Controller to various devices, follow these steps:
1. Reader Connection:
- Mount the reader at the door and connect it to the controller using a 22/5 or 22/6 wire.
- Ensure to check the polarity and voltage before powering the controller.
- If using OSDP (Open Supervised Device Protocol), place the OSDP jumper(s) as instructed in the reference guide.
2. Door Position Sensor (DPS) Connection:
- Mount the DPS on the door frame and connect it to the controller using a 22/2 wire.
- For reporting double doors, wire the two DPS sensors in series and connect them to the controller.
3. AUX Input Connection:
- The AUX input can be used to trigger events or outputs based on input triggers.
- Follow the software rules to program the desired functionality.
4. Request to Exit (REX) Connection:
- If installing a maglock, connect the REX device to the maglock and the controller using an 18/2 wire.
- Mount the REX device at the desired location with an 18/5 wire.
- If reporting is not needed in the software, the green input wire can be eliminated.
5. Locking Relay Connection:
- Install the provided diode at the strike with the gray stripe on positive and black on negative.
- If using a maglock or a fail-safe strike, connect the negative (-) of the device to the NC (Normally Closed) on the controller.
- If using a fail-secure strike, connect the negative (-) of the strike to the NO (Normally Open) on the controller.
- Use the jumper block to designate the board voltage out of NO and NC. If the jumper is off, the relay is a standard dry contact requiring input into C on the relay.
