To set the processing time for your canning recipe using the Presto 02144 12 Qt Electric Pressure Canner, follow these steps:
1. After plugging in the canner and selecting the Boiling Water Can mode, rotate the control xxxx until the display shows "BOILING WATER CAN."
2. Press the control xxxx to select the Boiling Water Can mode.
3. The number "005" will light up on the display. This number represents the default processing time.
4. Rotate the control xxxx to adjust the processing time according to your specific recipe and jar size (pints or half-pints).
5. Verify that you have set the correct program and time by checking the display.
6. Press the control xxxx to confirm your selection.
