To install the GYMAX GYM09628 Portable Air Conditioner, follow these steps:
1. Choose a location: Place the unit on a flat, steady, and stable surface with at least 50cm (20") of free space around it for proper air circulation. Avoid installing it near heat sources, direct sunlight, mechanical vibration or shock, excessive dust, lack of ventilation, or on an uneven surface.
2. Attach the exhaust hose: Connect one end of the exhaust hose to the hose connector and the other end to the window kit adapter. Extend the adjustable window kit to the length of your window and connect the exhaust hose to the window kit. Close the window to secure the kit in place, and use duct tape if necessary to ensure a tight seal.
3. Adjust the hose length: Adjust the length of the flexible exhaust hose and avoid bends in the hose. Place the air conditioner near an electrical outlet.
4. Adjust the louver: Adjust the louver at the air outlet to control the direction of the air flow horizontally.
5. Switch on the unit: Once the installation is complete, switch on the unit using the power button on the control panel or the remote control.
