To replace a burned-out bulb in the GE Holiday 2020094 Incandescent Glitter Gem Garland, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the garland is unplugged before starting.
2. Identify the type of bulb that needs to be replaced. The garland contains two different types of bulbs: steady-illuminating bulbs and fuse bulbs. Fuse bulbs are identified by a green colored ring on the lamp base.
3. For steady-illuminating bulbs:
a. Grasp the plug and remove it from the outlet.
b. Hold the bulb by the plastic base and pull it straight out of the socket.
c. Replace the bulb with a 2.5 Volt, 0.5 Watt super brightness midget push-in type lamp provided with the product. Push the spare bulb/base assembly into the socket without twisting it.
d. If the spare bulbs provided with the product have no plastic base or the plastic base does not fit, follow steps 1-2 above and then:
- Remove the old bulb by straightening the bulb wires and pulling it straight from the base.
- Replace the new bulb by straightening the bulb leads and aiming each wire into a separate hole in the plastic base.
- Make sure each bulb lead comes out an exit opening at the bottom of the plastic base. Bend each lead up so that it fits closely against the narrow side of the plastic base.
4. For fuse bulbs:
a. Grasp the plug and remove it from the outlet.
b. Locate the fuse panel on the plug and slide it open to expose the fuses inside.
c. Remove the blown (darkened) fuse carefully.
d. Replace the blown fuse with the spare fuse included in the set.
e. Close the panel completely by sliding the fuse access cover closed on top of the attachment plug.
Remember to always use the specified replacement bulbs provided with the product to ensure proper functioning and safety.
