To install the Exclusive Home RD014861DSEH 84 Inch 160 Inch Adjustable Double Curtain Rod Kit, follow these steps:
1. Gather the following tools: pencil, measuring tape, screwdriver, and electric drill.
2. Position the brackets in the desired location above the window. Use a pencil to mark the wall xxxx locations. Both brackets should be an equal distance from the outside of the window, with the third bracket in the center. In most spaces, a curtain rod set looks best when hung on the wall outside of the window frame. Allow 1 to 3 inches (2.5 to 7.6 cm) on each side of the window and 2 to 4 inches (5 to 10 cm) above the window frame.
3. If fixing to drywall, check for buried cables and pipes before using a drill bit. Drill to a depth of 32mm and insert anchors. If fixing to a wooden batten, no anchors are required.
4. Mount the brackets with the wall screws provided.
5. Connect the three-piece rod together. The rod with the smallest diameter is the middle piece. Remove all attached finials to find the smaller middle piece resting inside the larger end piece.
6. Fit one finial to one end of the rod. Slide the curtain onto the rod before fitting the other finial.
7. Place the curtain rod onto the brackets and tighten the thumb screws.
