To change the 9V battery in the electro-harmonix J Mascis Ram’s Head Big Muff PI Fuzz-Sustainer, follow these steps:
1. Remove the 4 screws on the bottom of the device using a screwdriver.
2. Take off the bottom plate to access the battery compartment.
3. Carefully remove the old battery and dispose of it properly.
4. Insert a new 9V battery into the battery compartment, making sure to align the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals correctly.
5. Avoid touching the circuit board while the bottom plate is off to prevent any damage.
6. Replace the bottom plate and secure it by tightening the 4 screws.
Please note that you can also power the device using a 9VDC AC Adapter, such as the EHX9.6DC-200 or any Boss® or Ibanez® style AC adapters capable of delivering at least 30mA. The adapter should be plugged into the 9V power jack located at the top of the pedal. The battery may be left in or taken out when using an AC Adapter.
It is important to use the correct adapter or battery and follow the instructions provided to avoid damaging the device and voiding the warranty.
